have i mentioned how much i hate gazebos and palm trees and gigantic oaks with dull, gray moss hanging everywhere? how ugly florida is? how unless you're a tourist doing a destination wedding you'd have to be crazy to want to get married anywhere here because all the pictures are going to look like someone crapped a large, rotten tropical fruit?
and why am i so picky in a ridiculous way? is simple really picky? maybe weddings are just easier if you're lavish and glittery and disney-esque. or if you just go traditional and have it in a church. but all of those things make me want to vomit. the idea of having a huge, flowing dress with a fluffy veil in a gazebo with red roses and matching bridesmaids' dresses and unity candles and and and...is just sickening.
i suck at this planning thing and it doesn't make it any easier that i can't properly plan anything, even if i had decisions made, because we haven't even mailed our immigration forms in and it'll be another 6 months before we can set a date. and then 3 months to hastily throw it together and hope for the best. i'm going to explode.

3. a plane ticket from london to frankfurt so i can get home on the 20th of september
4. a job for my boyfriend so he can come back legally

i walked out on my job today. i have spent the past three months doing everything i could to make john happy, but nothing was ever good enough. and today when he started yelling at me in front of a customer, i just lost it. it was quite possibly the hardest thing i've ever had to do because i didn't really want to leave. now i'm unemployed and almost literally broke and leaving for europe in two months. all i wanted to do when i got home was curl up in my bed and wallow in self-pity, but stefan rushed over as fast as he could to spend what was left of his 'man's day' comforting me.
i think at the moment i'm still in shock over what's happened.
in better news, i'm a student now. i start orlando culinary academy in october. wednesday i get fitted for my chef's uniform and fill out the remainder of my paperwork. it exciting and also slightly overwhelming that something is actually going right with school for once.

as i was about to turn off my light, i heard something rattling outside my window. normally i'm not worried by this because animals like to squeeze under our house and it makes a squeaking noise, but this time it sounded larger. i turned out the light and stood by the bathroom door, to hear it better, and saw a soft light flash a few times. i ran to turn on the outside light and when i looked out my window i saw some guy walking away from my house with his phone shining. it's probably a good thing i don't normally go to bed early, but now i am never going to get to sleep tonight.
